Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree (or at least five (5) years of experience in lieu of master’s degree) in social sciences, public administration, international relations, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the civil society sector in Honduras.
  • At least five years of experience working with the civil society sector in Honduras.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering CSO capacity building training and assistance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with CSOs.
  • Experience working on corruption prevention, government accountability and transparency, and civic engagement strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in working with a wide range of stakeholders and partners (i.e., national, regional and local government, private sector and civil society), including effective coordination with multiple partners and institutions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in implementing effective social accountability, transparency, public oversight, and anti-corruption approaches.
  • Experience in building CSO networks, stakeholder coalitions, or implementing related collective actions highly desired.
  • Knowledge of and prior experience working on USAID-funded activities strongly preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish with excellent written and oral communications skills required, with proficiency in English strongly preferred.
