We are currently seeking Civil Engineers to provide civil engineering support for Water Resources Projects including Everglades Restoration, floodplain restorations, stormwater master planning, design of stormwater treatment facilities, water quality improvement projects, and associated infrastructure across Florida.

Responsibilities:

·         This position is responsible for providing engineering support for the Quality Assurance team for the C-43 reservoir. 

·         Provide field engineering support and construction Quality Assurance oversight and documentation. 

·         Task lead for quality assurance reviews for the projects definable features of work including soil cement placement, wave run up wall, soil bentonite cut off wall, and various project components.  

·         Review and document contractor’s efforts compared to plan and specifications. 

·         Work cooperatively with a multidisciplinary team to oversee construction of the C-43 Reservoir.   Oversee construction contractors to ensure compliance with Plans and Specs. 

·         Collect construction observations using IPads and other digital devices to be stored daily in an online GIS database.

Requirements:

·         BS in Civil Engineering, Geotech/Mining Engineering or related engineering discipline

·         8-years+ experience in civil, geotechnical engineering and field investigations

·         Strong academic background and solid understanding of Civil engineering related water resources in Florida

·         Experience working on Dams and/or Levees.

·         Experience working on projects for the South Florida Water Management District a plus.

·         Good communication, report writing, interpersonal and presentation skills.

·         Must be willing to work outside on occasion and in a variety of climate conditions.

·         Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, CAD. Microsation.

·         A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required, along with a physical if needed.

·         Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
