Civil Engineer - Boise, ID
Qualifications:
- B.S. Civil, Environmental or a related field (M.S. Preferred).
- 2-7 years of engineering experience. Professional Engineering (PE) license desired, EIT required.
- Education and work experience should be related to one or more of the following areas of civil/environmental engineering: solid waste, municipal engineering, storm water management, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, BMP design and construction, mine geochemistry, mine closure, cover designs and the use of geosynthetics, cost estimation, environmental regulations, remediation, water balance modelling, heavy earthwork construction, water quality.
- Experience should include the fundamentals of civil grading and drainage, hydrologic modeling, and hydraulic analysis.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required with ability to quickly pick up proficiency in Civil 3D, HEC programs, and other standard programs.
- Experience or familiarity with other software such as, ArcGIS, SWMM, packages, and GOLDSIM is highly desirable.
- An understanding of local, state, and federal programs, permits, and regulations related to solid waste, stormwater, and environmental remediation.
- Ability to perform field data collection and construction oversight.
- Strong skills and proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft-based software, including MS Excel, for data analysis.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to summarize scientific data and model outputs in concise, readable language
- MSHA and/or OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred.
