Minimum Qualification Requirements:
* Minimum of a master’s degree (higher preferred) in environment or natural resource management or a related field; 
* At least 12 years of experience leading development projects of a similar scope and/or in a similar region;
* At least ten (10) years of experience in respective field of technical expertise; preferably in water and natural resource management, biodiversity, climate change adaptation, public-private partnerships, and/or climate and environmental resilience;
* Demonstrated track record of progressively responsible managerial experience implementing donor projects with similar complexity;
* Previous experience developing collaborative working relationships with host-country governments, civil society, regional stakeholders and other contractors;
* Experience in monitoring, evaluating, and documenting progress toward project objectives, evaluating sub-contractor and grantee activities, and developing solutions to keep activities on track;
* Experience working in Southern Africa;
* Professional proficiency in both spoken and written in English . Professional fluency in Portuguese an advantage.
