Certified Lead Based Paint Inspector/Risk Assessor

Candidates must have the following credentials and experience:
- Valid U.S. EPA Lead Inspector or Risk Assessor certification (Required).
- Completed an approved U.S. EPA Lead Inspector or Risk Assessor training course (Required).
At least one year of credentialed experience performing Lead-Based Paint Inspections (Required) since completing the U.S. EPA Lead Inspector or Risk Assessor training course.
Must be experienced in operating an XRF instrument (preferably Viken Detection Pb200i Handheld XRF Lead Paint Analyzer) for use in LBP inspections,
Must be experienced with procedures for collecting lead paint chip samples.
Must be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a team environment. Should have the ability to manage a heavy workload and travel within New York City and Long Island. Must be skilled at client interaction, organized, and proficient with mobile applications (apps), and should be focused on safety. Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills are required. Demonstrated effective task management, multi-tasking ability, attention to detail, and learnability.
Must possess a valid US EPA Lead Inspector or Risk Assessor Certificate. Must be able to climb stairs, kneel, and/ or crouch at times. Some lifting/carrying of field sampling and other equipment is required. Travel is required each day, likely originating/ending in Manhattan. Familiarity with NYC public transportation is desirable. Must have the ability to driver a motor vehicle and pass a motor vehicle records check. Must have the willingness/ability to use hand-held tablets for field inspections. There will be some evening and weekend work as well.
