Tetra Tech has been active in Jordan for more than 25 years, delivering over 35 programmes and assignments for FCDO, EIB, USAID and US Department of State. With a registered entity and established project teams currently based in Amman, our work in Jordan covers a wide range of thematic areas including economic growth, fiscal management, water, infrastructure, market systems development, monitoring and evaluation, and women’s economic empowerment.
The Programme
Tetra Tech is seeking expressions of interest for experts for the upcoming FCDO-funded Jordan Growth and Prosperity (JGAP) programme. JGAP is a new economic and private sector development programme which aims to strengthen economic resilience and enable job-rich growth in Jordan at two different levels:
Macro-level: Supporting the Government of Jordan (GoJ) to maintain macroeconomic stability, by improving debt management and reducing fiscal pressures.
Micro-level: Implementing Market Systems Development (MSD) interventions in selected sectors to foster productive, inclusive, private-sector-led growth. There will be a particular focus on enhancing trade and exports.
JGAP aims to generate employment, absorb labour at scale and drive structural transformation in Jordan’s economy.
Upcoming opportunities
We are seeking to build a diverse roster of experts to support the antcipated JGAP programme. We are looking for both Jordanian and international experts with strong Jordan and wider MENA experience.

Market Systems Development
Private Sector Development
Value chain development
SME growth and innovation
Labour Markets and employment
Trade, exports and market access
Sector Specialists with expertise in sectors aligned with Jordan's Modernisation Vision
Macroeconomic policy and reform
Public financial management
In addition, we are looking for expertise in cross-cutting themes and issues related to private sector development and economic growth, including:
Gender and social inclusion
Monitoring, evaluation and learning
Political economy analysis
Operations and programme management
In your application, please clearly state the types of roles you are interested in (for example, team leadership; M&E, technical expert etc) and whether you are interested in short and/or long-term opportunities. You can note this at the top of your CV.
About you
Relevant professional experience in the states field/ sector
Strong networks and experience of working in Jordan and/or regionally
Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Fluency in Arabic is an advantage, although candidates with outstanding international expertise and experience in comparable contexts will also be considered.
Experience with FCDO projects is an advantage
