Bridge Engineering Technologist - Calgary

Qualifications:

•    Civil Engineering or Civil Technology diploma from a certified program
•    Member in good standing with ASET (CET, RET, P.Tech.(Eng.)) or APEGA (P.L.(Eng.))
•    Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License and must provide current drivers abstract when applying, preference will be given to candidates with a clean driving record
•    Standard Bridge or Large Diameter Culvert design experience
•    Class A or B certification under Alberta Transportation’s Bridge Inspection and Maintenance (BIM) system
•    ACI & PCI Certifications considered an asset
•    Previous experience working in engineering consulting for Alberta Transportation
•    Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with design and/or construction management of roadway and bridge-related infrastructure projects; however, consideration will be given to candidates with less experience
•    The ability to read and review engineered drawings
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to properly document and produce detailed information in an accurate and timely fashion
•    Excellent analytical, problem solving and listening skills
•    Good time management skills, the ability to work with minimal supervision and the ability to contribute to the Practice by being a team player
•    Must be willing to travel and work in a field setting away from the office
•    Be physically capable of performing duties required
•    Ability to work independently on project assignments
•    Ability to manage small project teams
•    Client management skills
•    Experience working with various public agencies including Municipalities, Alberta Transportation, City of Calgary, Parks Canada, etc.
