Associate Director – Transport Planning - Manchester
Requirements:
We are looking for a keen, progressive and versatile individual with an established background in transport planning. For this role we require candidates to have:
Proven project management and business development capabilities (including proposal writing)
Knowledge of the UK transport planning industry and the UK planning system
Extensive experience in preparing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Transport chapters for Environmental Statements, etc
Self-motivation and capability to undertake specific tasks with minimum supervision
Ability to manage own time to meet project deadlines
Excellent presentation skills
Excellent spreadsheet skills
Experience of delivering technically challenging projects
Experience of liaising / negotiating with public and private sector clients
Understanding of current design guides such as Manual for Streets and DMRB.
Knowledge of the application of junction modelling software
Public Inquiry and Examination in Public experience would beneficial
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree or Masters in a relevant subject (e.g. transport planning, civil engineering, geography). Professional Accreditation, such as CMILT, TPP, MCIHT or MICE
