Assistant Engineer – Part-time

We are currently seeking an Assistant Engineer. The ideal candidate shall be a self-motivated civil or environmental engineer with interest in environmental /remediation and/or renewable energy.
Office work including, but not limited to:
Preparing engineering designs and bid packages
Preparing engineering calculations and reports
Preparing drawings/figures utilizing AutoCAD
Assisting Project Managers with project management functions for various commercial/industrial clients, as needed
Periodic fieldwork which could include, but not be limited to site inspections; periodic water or soil sampling; and oversight of subcontractor personnel
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related Engineering Degree from an ABET-accredited institution
Prior experience in civil or environmental engineering preferred, specifically with renewable energy projects, site remediation, and/or remediation system design and implementation
Must have good written and verbal communication skills and computer skills (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC RAS, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), and demonstrated ability to use engineering computer programs for design
Able to work independently as well as part of a project team
Candidate must have a valid driver's license, meet Tetra Tech's internal criteria for driving to field locations, and be physically able to work in the field
Some travel will also be required
Up-to-date OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training (original 40 hour and subsequent refreshers) preferred.
