The Program: Nauru Education Program (NEP)

The Nauru Education Program (NEP) is funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and delivered by Tetra Tech International Development. NEP works in close partnership with the Nauru Department of Education and Training to strengthen education system performance and improve learning outcomes for children and young people in Nauru.

The program focuses on improving literacy and numeracy outcomes, supporting inclusive and equitable education pathways, and strengthening government systems, while working respectfully within the local cultural and community context.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an Administration Officer to provide high-quality administrative and operational support to the NEP Team Leader and program team. This role is critical to the smooth day-to-day functioning of the program and contributes directly to effective program delivery against agreed workplans and budgets.

Working closely with NEP staff, technical advisers, and Department of Education and Training counterparts, the Administration Officer will help ensure the office, systems, and logistics run efficiently and professionally.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide general administrative support to the NEP team as required
  • Coordinate office facilities, utilities, and building management (including office and residence)
  • Support the coordination and logistics of meetings, workshops, and program events
  • Assist with purchasing and procurement of goods and services in line with program requirements
  • Maintain accurate program records and filing systems
  • Support the management of program assets, including maintaining the asset register
  • Promote compliance with DFAT standards and Tetra Tech policies, including child protection, fraud control, and Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI)

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable, and able to manage a variety of administrative tasks in a busy program environment.

You will bring:

  • Experience in administration or business support, with strong organisational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, with good numeracy and attention to detail
  • A reliable, professional, and collaborative approach to work
