PRO-Telligent, A Tetra Tech Company, needs an Admin/Program Assistant for State Dept. Consular Affairs Bureau in the Office of Children’s Issues starting in December.


Requires a USG Interim Secret Security Clearance or higher.


The Project

  • The Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA) provides services that protect U.S. citizens and their interests abroad, ensure U.S. border security, and facilitate the entry of legitimate travelers. 
  • The Office of Overseas Citizens Services within the Consular Affairs Bureau (CA/OCS), is responsible for providing assistance to U.S. citizens abroad including those who live overseas, work overseas, are studying abroad, or are overseas for tourism and who then become impacted by such things as terror, crime, and threats to safety.
  • Additional functions of CA/OCS include providing services related to resolving international child abductions, adoptions, and coordinating emergency services such as the evacuation of U.S. citizens from countries in crisis.

Position Description

      • Assist Officers with processing cases.
      • Draft case summaries.
      • Draft correspondence for signature by Bureau officials.
      • Provide additional professional support to the office.

          • Brief training period in office initially

          • Work hours: 8:15 am to 5:00 pm with 45 minutes for lunch
          • Opportunities for Growth: Evaluations conducted annually with merit-based raises, promotions can occur after 1-2 years


          • USG Interim Secret Clearance or higher
          • Associates degree or higher
          • Strong language skills and ability to proofread/format office memoranda.
          • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
          • Able to remain calm under pressure, meet deadlines, and work well with others in a team environment.
