Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will lead the delivery of complex hydrogeological assessments, support regulatory permitting, and contribute to business growth.
You will play a pivotal role in pre-positioning, pricing and delivering projects, while collaborating closely with groundwater, waste and environmental specialists to provide integrated, high-quality solutions across sectors including infrastructure, energy, minerals and regulatory services.
Your Impact in this Position
You will drive technically robust, commercially sound project outcomes—guiding clients through the full lifecycle of environmental assets. Your expertise will influence regulatory decisions, shape sustainable waste strategies, and strengthen client relationships, while mentoring the next generation of hydrogeologists and contributing to technical excellence across the business.

Act as a trusted technical advisor, building lasting relationships with clients and regulators while clearly communicating complex hydrogeological concepts.
Leadership & Team Development
Mentor colleagues, promote best practice, and contribute to quality assurance, innovation and the strategic growth of the discipline.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or a related field (MSc desirable). Chartered or working towards chartership. Strong experience in waste and contaminant hydrogeology, including site characterisation, modelling and UK permitting frameworks. Proven ability to lead projects, manage clients and deliver high-quality technical outputs.
Working Environment
This role offers flexible and hybrid working, with a blend of office, site and home-based work. Typical expectations include 2–3 days per week in the office or on site, depending on project needs, with flexibility to support work–life balance.
