We are seeking a Communications & Outreach Officer to support communications, stakeholder engagement and outreach activities for the Australia Cambodia Partnership for Climate Resilience (ACP4Climate) program. The role will help showcase program achievements and impact through content development, digital communications and stakeholder engagement.

The opportunity
Join the Australia Cambodia Partnership for Climate Resilience (ACP4Climate), the Australian Government’s flagship climate investment in Cambodia, supporting improved water resource management and climate resilience.
As the Communications & Outreach Officer, you will support the implementation of communications and public diplomacy activities across the program. Working closely with the Communications Manager, technical teams and partners, you will help coordinate stakeholder engagement, content development, events and outreach activities that strengthen awareness of climate resilience and Australia’s partnership with Cambodia.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated communications professional looking to contribute to a high-impact development program while building experience in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement and public outreach.
Key responsibilities
- Support the delivery of ACP4Climate's communications, outreach and public diplomacy activities.
- Develop and coordinate communications materials including stories, newsletters, factsheets, presentations, digital content and outreach products.
- Coordinate content collection from technical teams, partners and field activities to showcase program achievements and impact.
- Support management of the program website, social media platforms and digital engagement activities.
- Assist in organising events, workshops, campaigns, field visits and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Support media engagement, outreach initiatives and public awareness activities across the program.
- Ensure communications products comply with DFAT branding, visibility and accessibility requirements.
- Maintain communications resources and coordinate with service providers and partners as required.
About You
You will be a strong communicator with excellent organisational skills and a passion for engaging diverse audiences. You will enjoy working collaboratively with partners and stakeholders and be able to translate information into clear, accessible and engaging communications products.
- Relevant qualifications in communications, journalism, public relations, international development, media studies or a related field.
- Experience in communications, outreach, public relations or a related role.
- Experience supporting communications, stakeholder engagement and outreach activities.
- Strong content writing, editing and storytelling skills, including experience developing digital communications materials.
- Experience managing or supporting social media and digital communications activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Khmer and English.
- Strong organisational, coordination and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
Commitment to inclusive and ethical development practice.
Experience working on donor-funded development programs, or in climate change, environment, water or resilience-related programs, will be highly regarded.
