The Opportunity:
Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is adding a Senior Electrical Lead Engineer to our team in Seattle, WA.  

Position Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished Electrical Engineering Leader with 10+ years of experience in the building construction industry to drive technical excellence, lead high-performing engineering teams, and deliver innovative solutions for complex commercial, healthcare, industrial, higher education, and mission-critical facilities.  

In this pivotal leadership role, you will provide strategic direction for electrical engineering design, mentor and develop talented professionals, and collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to bring visionary projects to life. You will be responsible for championing quality, innovation, and operational excellence while ensuring projects are delivered to align with client goals.

As a trusted advisor and technical expert, you will influence major project decisions, foster strong client relationships, and help shape the growth of our engineering practice. Essential Job Functions:

•    Provide strategic leadership for the electrical discipline within the office and region.
•    Mentor and develop department staff, fostering career growth through structured development plans.
•    Be a local supervisor to staff.
•    Collaborate with Project Managers on budgeting, scheduling, and staff management.
•    Drive project execution from concept through construction administration.
•    Act as the Engineer of Record, leading technical communication with clients.
•    Play an integral role in regional leadership, contributing to strategic initiatives and organizing discipline meetings.
•    Collaborate with owners, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies to achieve successful project outcomes.
•    Manage regional staff workload effectively, leveraging local leadership.
•    Oversee recruitment and retention efforts, ensuring a strong engineering team.
•    Establish and maintain engineering standards, best practices, and quality control procedures.
•    Be able to lead and effectively manage a group of electrical engineers within the office.
•    Support business development efforts through client engagement, proposal development, and industry leadership.

Required Qualifications:
•    10+ years of experience as an MEP Engineer in infrastructure and/or building systems.
•    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
•    Current Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
•    Working experience with building and electrical codes.
•    Experience managing staff as a direct supervisor.
•    Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position is not eligible for current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Revit experience.
•    Strong background in sustainable design is highly desirable.
•    LEED AP BD+C accreditation.
•    WELL certification.

Work Environment and Location:
This position offers a hybrid work environment, with a requirement of two in-office days per week in our Seattle, WA office.  All candidates must be located in and eligible to work in the U.S.

Compensation:
Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the compensation scale for this role. Actual salaries will be determined based on location, experience, responsibilities, and qualifications. This salary range is just one component of Glumac’s total compensation package, which includes benefits, professional development opportunities, and additional incentives.
