Senior Process Engineer

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

• ·       A University degree in mineral processing, extractive metallurgy, chemical engineering or related discipline.
• ·       Several years operational experience and 5 years in management of engineering technical support services or working within a mining consultancy.
• ·       Professional engineering accreditation with an internationally recognised engineering institute or association, CEng, PEng or equivalent.
• ·       QP (qualified person) or CP (competent person) status (or meet the requirements of such).

Knowledge and Skills:

• ·       Base, precious metals and bulk minerals commodities.
• ·       Mineral processing, extractive metallurgy and refining operations.
• ·       Mass, energy and water balances.
• ·       Detailed design and specification of process equipment and unit processes.
• ·       Process and engineering cost estimation.
• ·       Process scheduling and budgeting.
• ·       Financial modelling.
• ·       Feasibility and technical studies.
• ·       Proficiency with metallurgical modelling software such as LimN, MetSim, JKSimMet, SysCAD or OliIDEAS.
