Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer

You should be experienced in the implementation of detailed surveys of electrical services and equipment to establish status of the existing installations and gain sufficient information to develop design proposals.

Producing and reviewing electrical design drawings will be key to your role. You must have experience in preparing drawings for drafting by the BIM/CAD team with a working understanding of AutoCAD. Experience of using Autodesk Revit MEP would be beneficial.

You will have the passion and drive to deliver and manage projects in accordance with the client’s brief and programme, developing good business and customer relations. You should be capable of managing your own workload, updating forward plan of workload regularly and working to time allocations. Monitoring of the design and project management of building services elements of projects within agreed programmes is key. This includes reviewing progress, including reporting any anomalies and changes of scope to the line manager.

About you:

• Educated to at least degree level in electrical engineering or building services engineering

• Chartered and member of relevant body (working towards this will be considered)

• The skill set and passion for engineering with the ability to manage and deliver electrical engineering design across a wide range of sectors

• Experienced in the delivery of electrical services scope of work across multiple projects, as part of a multi discipline design team. Carrying out any or all stages of electrical design from concept to completion as required by the project

• Self-motivated, with the ability to work on own initiative and the confidence to make decisions

• Ability to work well collaboratively, both internally and with external partners

• Good verbal communication skills, and a positive attitude

• Knowledge and experience in a range of digital tools including; AutoCAD, AutoDesk Revit,

• Understanding of BREEAM on M&E Services;

• Meet requirements to achieve security clearance for work in security facilities.

• Proven track record of services project delivery, together with notable projects across a variety of sectors in electrical services design

• Proven ability to develop designs conscious of energy conservation, sustainability and with a knowledge basis of renewable technologies
