Senior Engineer - Highway Design / Drainage - LOCATION FLEXIBLE

You are a well-rounded individual with experience producing highways and infrastructure designs, including s.278 and s.38 adoptions, to either the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges or local authority design guides.  You are a proficient user of Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, KeySIGNS and KeyLINES.

Ideally, you will also have some experience in s.104 adoptions using MicroDrainage or undertaking external level designs for residential developments but these are not essential.

For this role we require candidates to have:

• Proven project management capabilities (including proposal writing)
• Self-motivation and capability to undertake specific tasks with minimum supervision and meet deadlines
• Experience of delivering technically challenging projects
• Experience of liaising with public and private sector clients
• Experience of negotiations with Local Highway Authorities
• Understanding Health and Safety requirements
• Understanding of DMRB, Local Authority and CDM guidance

Preferred Qualifications

HND, HNC or Degree  in a relevant subject (e.g. Civil Engineering).

Professional Accreditation, such as CEng, IEng , CIHT, MICE,
