You will be a trusted advisor within integrated project teams, influencing key decisions through robust cost planning, reporting, and strategic insight. Your work will directly shape design efficiency, procurement strategies, and project delivery, ensuring value is maximised at every stage. You’ll build strong relationships across stakeholders, contributing both independently and collaboratively to successful project outcomes.

Core Capabilities

Cost Planning & Estimation: Develop detailed cost plans using industry tools such as CostX. Provide accurate forecasting across complex, multi-stage projects

Commercial Advisory: Advise on design alternatives, value engineering, and cost optimisation. Support procurement strategies and contractor engagement

Project Cost Management: Deliver full lifecycle cost management services during construction. Produce clear, insightful monthly cost reports for clients

Stakeholder Collaboration: Build effective relationships with clients, design teams, and contractors. Contribute to integrated project teams across multiple sectors

Strategic Thinking & Delivery: Apply modern methodologies to deliver efficient, well-governed outcomes. Adapt to changing project priorities with a solutions-focused approach

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline, you will be working towards or hold professional membership (e.g. RICS). You bring proven experience in quantity surveying or employer’s agent roles, with a strong track record of technical delivery on complex projects. You are an effective communicator, capable of influencing stakeholders and managing project teams. Eligibility for SC clearance is required.

Working Environment

This role is based in Newcastle, with opportunities to work across the North East. We offer a flexible, hybrid working model, typically with 2–3 days in the office and the remainder remote, depending on project needs. You’ll benefit from a collaborative culture, exposure to diverse projects, and the autonomy to shape your career in a dynamic technical environment.
