Graduate Transport Planner

 Qualifications:

• A minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant technical discipline (for example Transport Planning, Civil/Highway Engineering, Town Planning, Geography, Economics)

Skills:

• MS Office skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong numeracy, analytical and report writing skills with an attention to detail

You will soon pick up skills in

• relevant planning and transport policy and highway design standards and guidance

• the principles of strategic transport modelling, or prior experience of using SATURN and VISUM software

• design modelling including AutoCAD and AutoTrack

• use of traffic modelling software such as JUNCTIONS 9/10, LINSIG, TRANSYT, PARAMICS and VISSIM

• Database modelling such as TRICS and GIS software.

• Use of highways technical standards
