Summary:
Tetra Tech Inc. is currently seeking a Data Manager in the Chico area for its Disaster Recovery Division. The successful candidate will have extraordinary attention to minute detail and be responsible for executing and overseeing daily administrative, data entry, and reconciliation assigned to them, and those performed by other staff under the supervision of the Program Manager. This is a Project-based role.
Compensation expectations: $25 - 30 per hour (based on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Work with Project Manager to ensure efficient and effective operations to meet client deliverables
- Work with Project Manager to establish project priories and ensure Assistant Data Manager(s) manages assignments accordingly
- Oversee the efforts of assigned staff to ensure they carry out project-specific activities and meet project objectives
- Oversee Assistant Data Manager(s) / QA/QC staff conducting cost reconciliation, data entry of timesheets records, invoice records, and material use records for grant-funded programs
- Assist Project Manager with weekly meetings, agendas, and tracking of tasks for client reporting
- Oversee development and submission of cost documentation to federal agencies
- Coordinate, review, analyze, and summarize financial data for grant-funded programs
- Oversee proper audit and reconciliation of force account documentation
- Oversee QA/QC review of financial documentation in accordance with established SOPs
- Oversee reconciliation of federal and state grants, cost estimates, audits, and other initiatives that support disaster recovery efforts
- Develop and update dashboards / status tracking reports for Project Manager and client
- Assist with overseeing sub-contractors supporting the project
- Supervise team members, provide feedback on performance, and develop annual performance goals
- Travel required, as needed
- Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will have experience in finance, accounting, data entry and/or business administration and must be able to or have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or in public administration required. Four years of additional industry experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Prior project management experience preferred
- Prior supervisory experience managing staff, delegating tasks, and conducting performance reviews
- Must have proficient verbal and written communication skills with the ability to receive and execute instructions
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
- Work attentively with minimal supervision
- Critical thinking skills to anticipate issues prior to occurrence
- Have extraordinary attention to detail
- Adaptable to work on many different deliverables and maintain composure and professionalism
- Exceptional client service and communication skills to maintain outstanding client relationships
- Prior experience with post-disaster federal grant funding
- Finance, Accounting, Business Administrative background preferred
- Office suite proficiency (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and Word experience required)
- Experience and/or familiarity with FEMA Grants Portal preferred
