Summary:
Tetra Tech’s Disaster Recovery Unit is looking for Data Analysts to assist in calculating the cost of damages incurred by our clients during recent disasters. This is a non-traveling role but may develop into a traveling position following mastery of the material.

Responsibilities:
- Analysis of project data using software such as Microsoft Excel and PowerBI
- Quality assurance and quality control of project data
- Generating daily reports in regard to project metrics, work completion, and cost
- Review and understanding of project contracts for the purposes of contactor billings data reconciliation
- Digital file organization of project documents
- Completion of client data inquiries as requested by project management
- Reading comprehension and application of federal policies to project data
Job role will progress and change as experience is acquired. Every employee begins as an entry level analyst to develop and progress understanding of required tasks. These tasks will include data entry and reconciliation, project reporting, and file organization, among others. Individuals who display extreme competency at assigned tasks may eventually be given the opportunity to take on a larger role in the disaster recovery process, including communication with clients and/or FEMA representatives.
- High technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
- Ability to work 7 days a week, 12 hours a day
- Must be available for short-term travel to support on-site client needs and extended deployment (i.e. 90+ days) to address client response and long-term recovery needs to following emergencies and major disasters (if candidate not local to effected area)
- Prior accounting or finance experience preferred
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to understand and apply FEMA program policies and guidance
- Intuition and forward-thinking is a plus while working to accomplish goals
