Project Summary:
The Evidence Mapping, Systematic Review, and Impact Evaluation (EMSRIE) activity supports the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Bureau for Resilience, Environment, and Food Security (REFS) and buy-in clients across the agency with systematic reviews, evidence gap maps, and impact evaluations (IEs). USAID engaged Management Systems International (MSI), a Tetra Tech company, to implement EMSRIE in partnership with a major subcontractor the International Initiative for Impact Evaluations (3ie).

Position Summary:
The Translator will support monitoring activities in the field as requested by USAID. The Translator will be primarily responsible for translating data collection instruments, including electronic surveys, key informant interviews and focus group interview instruments, monitoring reports and interpreting for training sessions and monitoring interviews/focus groups when and where requested.
Responsibilities:
- Translate monitoring reports, data collection tools, and transcripts.
- Serve as a translator during trainings and discussions as necessary.
- Provide translation of other documents or functions as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Experience in translating from French to English orally and written required.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders of different backgrounds required.
- Strong writing skills necessary
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize deliverables in a timely manner to meet quick turnaround required.
- Fluent in English and French required.
