Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in economics or related field required; PhD strongly preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience required working in one or more DOL topic areas.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience required applying economic and/or labor expertise to evaluations or similar research activities in the U.S. or overseas.
- Minimum of 2 (two) years of experience leading or supervision evaluation/research teams, strongly preferred.
- Experience working with DOL or similar agencies, strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing rigorous (e.g., experimental or quasi-experimental) evaluations or similar research activities, strongly preferred.
- Experience designing and implementing household or firm-level surveys, strongly preferred.
- Proven experience and facility with empirical economic analysis--ideally of large data sets--including exploratory data analysis and causal modeling, strongly preferred.
- Excellent oral and written presentation skills, including leading the writing of technical reports on complex topics for diverse audiences, required.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a team environment and effectively oversee the work of other team members, required.
- Expertise in statistical software packages (e.g., Stata, R) and/or other programming languages (such as Python) to conduct econometric modeling and statistical analysis, strongly preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), strongly preferred.
