Early Childhood Education Specialist, Diagnosis Assessment for Childhood Development Activity

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in education, social studies, and related fields preferred.
• Minimum eight years of experience in social research and evaluations required.
• Experience with analytical ability and leadership skills in team management, assessment/evaluation design, and implementation required.
• Experience in leading assessments/evaluations of similar scale and the ability to manage complex projects required.
• Experience in leading data collection, analysis, and interpretation using quantitative and qualitative methods required.
• Experience in qualitative and quantitative assessment/evaluation design methodology, qualitative data collection through key informant interviews, focus groups, and analysis.
• Experience working in conflict and/or crisis-affected areas and refugee camps.
• Experience providing technical subject matter expertise in education application, pre-primary learning/early childhood development tools, such as Measuring Early Learning Quality & Outcomes (MELQO), and child participatory surveys.
• Knowledge and experience related to WASH services, nutrition, health, and child health.
• Knowledge and experience in early childhood education and development in emergencies, early pre-primary education, child protection, safeguarding, school feeding, capacity building, inclusion, and gender.
• Familiarity with USAID Evaluation Standards and requirements required.
• Strong organizational, attention to detail, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills required.
• Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work required.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is required. Proficiency in one or more local languages is advantageous.
