Qualifications:
- B.A./LL.B. in law, human rights, public policy, development studies, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years senior leadership experience (i.e. component leader or higher) managing donor-funded activities in the Balkans. USAID experience preferred.
- Prior experience supervising diverse teams on complex donor-funded projects of similar size and scope.
- Possess the technical, managerial, and communication skills to assume all related responsibilities of the COP position on a full-time basis if needed.
- Demonstrated capability to develop solid working relationships and manage a broad range of stakeholders, including government and judicial institutions, training academies, civil society partners, and advocacy groups.
- Experience and technical knowledge in one or more of the anticipated programmatic areas:
- People’s Legal Literacy and Empowerment Increased.
- People’s Experience and Outcomes when Accessing Justice Services Improved.
- Justice System Strengthened to be More People-Centered.
- A proven track record of strategic planning, management, supervision, administrative support, and budgeting skills.
- Demonstrated experience embedding do no harm and risk mitigation principles comprehensively into project activities and management, including mitigating against negative unintended consequences and safeguards to prevent sexual exploitation and abuse.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
- Fluency and proficiency in written and spoken English and Serbian required.
