Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree international development, a social science or other AM&E related field required. M.A. preferred.
- Five (5) years’ experience in AM&E leading or supporting foreign assistance projects is required for the position.
- Experience supporting collaboration, adaptation, and learning (CLA) activities. Experience across several sub-specialties within assessments and monitoring.
- Familiarity with Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Foreign Aid Transparency and Accountability (FATAA), and Development Co-operation Directorate (DCD) supports the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) guidance and policy.
- Familiarity with women, peace, and security issues.
- Expertise providing technical assistance to foreign assistance implementing partners to develop AM&E plans, designing Collaborating, Learning and Adapting (CLA) approaches, and developing and/or conducting AM&E training.
- Experience developing surveys and other data collection instruments, supervising data collection in developing countries, analyzing data and writing up AM&E reports preferred. Experience with emerging AM&E practices such as Collaborating, Learning, And Adapting (CLA), complexity awareness monitoring, outcome harvesting, most significant change and other emerging methods preferred.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key organizations, working groups, and professionals in the international development AM&E sector.
- Eligibility for a secret security clearance.
- English fluency is required.
