Waste and Recycling Technician

An understanding of the English planning and permitting system and its application and an interest in the minerals and waste industries.

Familiarity with methods and technologies employed in quarrying and waste management, planning policy legislation & guidance affecting these sectors would be an advantage.

Qualifications: First degree in Town Planning, Environmental Science or similar, sufficient to meet the academic requirements for full membership of the Chartered Institute of Waste Management.

Personal Qualities needed include:-

• Full UK driving licence;
• Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team;
• Computer Literate;
• Use of technical equipment in the field with minimum supervision;
• Commitment to studying towards professional qualification;
• Strong analytical, written, communication and presentation skills; and
• Membership of a relevant professional institution would be advantageous but not essential.
