Solid Waste and Recycling Planner

• 3 years of experience.
• Planning/Environmental Studies graduate from 4-year university.
• Experience with solid waste planning including: waste characterization, landfill diversion planning, and food waste prevention programs.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret existing project information required for regulatory compliance documents, technical design information and/or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write cohesive, technically complex reports, business correspondence, and a variety of other written documents. 
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from regulatory personnel, managers, clients, stakeholders, and the general public. 
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a variety of coworkers, regulators, and clients.
• Computer skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office. CAD and other graphic design software is a plus.
• AutoCAD, GIS and other graphic design software is a plus.
• Experience in preparing CEQA documentation.
