Senior Systems Engineer
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Physics or related discipline. Master’s degree in a principle or related discipline may substitute for 2 years of relevant experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in system engineering.
- Experience with GPS navigation systems including familiarity with the GPS interface documents, IS-GPS-200 and IS-GPS-705.
- Understanding the quality of GPS signals and sources of GPS errors.
- Experience with aviation safety to include availability, integrity, and continuity analyses.
- Experience with statistical analyses, Cumulative Distribution Functions, and distribution overbounding.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- An ability to work in a team environment with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
The following qualifications are preferred:
- Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Physics, or related discipline.
- Knowledge of FAA navigation standards, and aviation hardware and software certification, include DO-178/278 compliance.
- Familiarity with safety analyses such as Functional Hazard Assessment and System Safety Assessment.
- Experience with requirements development, baseline management, and change control.
- Experience with defense acquisition.
- Familiarity with project management.
