Senior Network Systems Security Specialist
The position requires:
- A thorough understanding of military and civilian networking systems
- A thorough understanding of Network Security and protocols including DIACAP/RMF
- Ability to keep up with current rules and regulations and make proper recommendations to enhance system security.
- An understanding of bandwidth management and throttling to ensure efficient voice and data communications
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, prints, and have a basic understanding of local and national codes regarding sizing and specifying electrical and HVAC requirements to protect data center equipment
- Knowledge of various control systems utilized by the military and ability to assess the hardware, software, networking schemes, and risks associated with these systems
- Strong analytical skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a wide range of users having different levels of computer expertise
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to produce results
- Ability to produce technically correct finished work, including technical reports, white papers, metrics, and briefs
U.S. citizenship is required, and you must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
The work environment will consist of an office environment, as well as frequent field visits in and around various client facility sites. You must be able to exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demands are in excess of those of sedentary work. Light work usually requires walking or standing to a significant degree, such as walking 3 to 6 miles in a few hours. You must be able to climb ladders, access roofs, and access narrow mechanical rooms.
