Senior Mining Project Engineer/Project Manager/Pittsburgh, PA/RK
• BS degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline. At least 20 years of relevant experience is required.
• Post-grad studies, MS, or MBA is a plus.
• Professional Engineer registration is required.
• Coal mining experience is required. Other minerals or REE experience is a plus. For coal, both bituminous and anthracite experience is preferred.
• Coal reserves estimation experience required.
• Participation in professional affiliations is a plus.
• A mix of consulting and mining operations experience is preferred. Experience in previous roles that demonstrates a strong commitment to health and safety issues as they relate to the mining industry.
• Experience with proposing on, winning competitive task orders, and executing work is required, and must be demonstrated if a face-to-face interview develops.
Language/Communication Skills: Must be fluent in the English language. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical documents and procedures, and government regulations. Ability to write detailed reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information, communicate, and respond to questions from groups of coworkers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Other Skills and Requirements: Must be computer literate and competent in AutoCAD, MS Word and Excel. Capability in other Microsoft Office suite products is desired. Candidate must be able and available to travel via and possess a valid drivers’ license in good standing.
