Job Requirements
- BS in Civil Engineering plus approximately 10+ years of experience in hydraulics and hydrology. A Master’s Degree with specialization in hydraulics is preferred but not required.
- Professional Engineer license required (WA and OR license preferred, required w/in 6 months of hire).
- Experience with 1-D steady and unsteady modeling such as HEC-RAS, HEC-GeoRAS, and similar.
- Experience with 2-D modeling (RAS-2D, FLO-2D, River Flow2D, ADH, SRH-2D and similar).
- Experience with Sediment Transport modeling (HEC-RAS, HEC-6T, SIAM and similar).
- Experience and knowledge of FEMA and local floodplain management requirements.
- Solid technical writing and communication skills.
- Experience with geomorphology a plus.
- Certified Floodplain Manager a plus.
- Some travel/field work is required.
