EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent; however, a combination of education and relevant experience wherein the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the position’s duties and responsibilities have been adequately demonstrated is acceptable

Unique knowledge of and broad experience with unique and/or complex work control, materials management, and/or mechanical maintenance
-
Extensive knowledge and understanding of work hazards, safety practices, operating configuration, and lock-out/tag-out policies and procedures in unique and/or complex facilities
-
In-depth understanding and ability to interpret various unique and/or complex mechanical and electrical documents, blueprints, drawings, and schematics
-
Ability to fully utilize and manipulate a computerized work management system in maintaining and tracking work- planning activities
-
Extensive experience and demonstrated skill in conducting research, investigating alternative solutions, and recommending solutions on unique and/or complex problems affecting work control and planning
-
Ability to fully conceptualize and communicate major elements of work control and planning for unique and/or complex activities to both technical and non-technical personnel
-
Demonstrated exceptional skill in the preparation and presentation of work control reports

Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Laboratory's work control and facility policies, practices, and procedures

Extensive knowledge and understanding of legal requirements and environmental impacts affecting work control and planning
-
Ability to adapt procedures, tools and/or equipment to meet special needs
-
Ability to perform duties and tasks that are varied and complex
-
Ability to serve as a resource to others in the resolution of problems and issues

Level of language skills, mathematical skills, communication skills, reasoning ability and computer skills necessary to perform essential functions of the job

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) required

Skill and ability to perform complex professional tasks independently, and to analyze and develop innovative solutions to problems

Ability to recommend approaches for new or improved processes

Ability to work with broad objectives, with latitude to determine the best way to accomplish tasks

Familiarity with the LANL site and work environment preferred

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements (Light Work):
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
Light Work Category - Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work.
