Renewable Energy Competitive Procurement Advisor – Pakistan

Essential KSA's Required (experience, skills, education, certification, etc.):

• Master’s degree in renewable energy, power systems, energy policy, energy finance, engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in planning, designing and managing clean renewable energy generation projects.
• At least 4 years of experience working with governments on renewable energy auctions in international contexts and preferably developing country contexts.
• Eight or more years of demonstrated experience managing complex energy generation and transmission related activities, including participation in competitive procurements for generation capacity and wheeling agreements.
• International experience in developing countries providing technical advisory support and significant experience working closely with government officials.
• Demonstrated track record preparing reports and technical studies in renewable energy for power generation.
• Strong management skills and experience to managing a multi-cultural team both in-country and internationally.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing and presentation skills) is required, fluency in Urdu.
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with clients and high-level government counterparts.

Valued But Not Required KSA's:

• Prior experience working on or leading USAID energy sector reform projects
• Fluency in Urdu
