Nutrition Specialist, USAID Central Africa Regional Third-Party Monitoring Project

Qualifications:

• Bachelors’ university degree in Public Health and Nutrition, or other relevant disciplines is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum five years of professional work experience in planning, programming, implementation of programs focused on Health and Nutrition is required.
• Relevant technical work experience in public health nutrition research and/or implementation,
• Relevant experiences in nutrition programming including in humanitarian and emergency contexts, prevention, and management of all forms of malnutrition and service delivery of essential maternal and child nutrition interventions.
• Strong understanding and experiences in nutrition activities focused on Severe Acute Malnutrition and Community Based Management of Acute Management (SAM-CMAM), Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) and Infant and Young Child Feeding in Emergencies (IYCF-E).
• Experience in planning, implementing, and monitoring of Nutrition essential interventions with the Government or a Non-Government Organization (NGO).
• Understanding of the local context, provinces/prefectures/departments where TPM activities are being conducted.

• Experience working on assignments that have delivered high quality reports to USAID and or other donors.
• Experience working with USAID and/or other international donors.
• Ability to travel to areas around Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of Congo with security permitting.
• Experience working in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team.
• Strong oral and written communication, analytical, interpersonal, attention to detail, organizational, and team management skills required.
• Fluency in French required. Advanced level fluency in English preferred.

Qualifications:

• Expérience de prestation des services d’interventions essentielles en matière de nutrition maternelle et infantile.

• Expérience de travail avec USAID et/ou d’autres donateurs internationaux.
• Excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite, en analyse, en relations interpersonnelles et en gestion d’équipe.
• Excellent sens du détail et de l’organisation requis.
• Maîtrise du français requise. Anglais de niveau avancé préféré.
