Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Natural Resources or engineering disciplines is required. Candidate must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in excellent standing within the company standards. Candidates must be highly motivated, self-starters that want to establish a career in environmental consulting.

Professional Registration (e.g., EIT, GIT.) is a plus.

Candidate must have the ability to:
• Walk up and down slopes and on uneven terrain;
• Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions for up to 10-12 hours per day; and
• Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Work will be split between field and office work. Field work will primarily be on the east coast but could be anywhere based on client needs, so the ability to travel and work remotely and on weekends or extended hours (as needed) is required.

Other Skills and Requirements:
Candidates should be fluent in the English language and possess excellent verbal/written communication skills. Candidates must be able to professionally interact with clients, subcontractors, professionals and the general public.

Candidates must be self-motivated, creative and have strong organizational, inter-personal communication, writing and presentation skills. Candidates must be able to work independently within a team and also be a collaborative team member that approaches challenges with a positive attitude. Candidates must be able to function with little direction to meet project goals and able to take conceptual direction for project tasks and developed detail plans to complete task. Must possess basic computer skills; the computer skills must include proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel. Experience with ArcGIS and/or AutoCAD a plus.
