GIS Analyst Entry Level

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geographic Interface Systems, or related field.
• Previous project experience in environmental and utility projects for municipal, state and Federal entities is preferred.
• Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of ESRI software and a passion for GIS technologies and solutions.
• Energetic with ability to overcome obstacles to complete a task safely and efficiently.
• Strong understanding of GPS technology.
• Understanding of geodatabase structure and capabilities
• Ability to create and understand SQL statements for data modification a plus.
• Facility management, utilities, or construction background a plus.
• Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.
• Effective time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Local Agency Check (NACLC) clearance from the Department of Defense (DoD).
• Valid state driver license in good standing and ability to obtain U.S. Passport.

Other skills and/or requirements: 

This candidate will be attached to one of our offices across the US. This position is ideal for a motivated individual to grow as the GIS business line grows. Travel and field work will be required in the range of 30-50%.

Effective oral and written communication skills are essential to this position. Must be fluent in the English language; both in speaking and writing. Report and proposal writing for a range of projects is required. 

Candidate must have the ability to work well in a professional and team-oriented environment, as well as independently. Candidate should possess strong organizational skills and be client focused. Must possess basic computer skills; the computer skills must include proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel. Must be proficient with ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro software.
