Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required. Eight to fifteen years of related experience is preferred. Candidates must have experience managing projects and providing strong technical direction/support for geo-technical and site development projects. Experience with geo-technical design (such as - slope stability, retaining walls, shallow and deep foundations, settlement) and construction, remediation pipeline slips, geo-technical laboratory testing, engineered fills, construction monitoring, and soil erosion and sediment controls. Experience interfacing with state and local agencies as well as community boards for project planning is beneficial.
Candidates must have a broad knowledge of civil construction requirements. Candidates must possess knowledge to successfully perform geo-technical investigation and design activities including laboratory testing and data interpretation.
Experienced at taking civil and site design projects from inception (e.g., proposal preparation) through design, construction and to completion.
Candidates must be self-motivated, creative and have strong organizational, inter-personal communication, writing and presentation skills. Candidates must be able to function with little direction to meet project goals and able to take conceptual direction for project tasks and developed detail plans to complete task.
Computer skills must include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with GSTABL7 and SUPPORT-IT/PILE BUCK computer programs (or similar) is a plus.
Professional Engineer Registration is required.
