Environmental Technician
3 to 5 years experience is required with groundwater pump and treat system operation, such as effluent water treatment system and other sample collection; maintenance of pumps, belt skimmers, and other system equipment; and tar-derived or waste material handling. Site-specific experience at the Reilly Tar and Chemical Superfund Site is preferred.
Must be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well with project team members. Excellent communication, client interaction, and organizational skills, as well as proficiency with MS Office applications are required. Familiarity with calculating groundwater pump/treatment volumes preferred. Must be able to drive a motor vehicle and pass a motor vehicle records check. High school diploma required, and 40-hour OSHA training preferred.
Heavy lifting of field sampling and other equipment will be required. Candidate must also meet physical demands of hazardous waste site work. Candidate may be exposed to various weather conditions while performing field work outside.
