Entry Level Electrical Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Support the development of conceptual and detailed designs
- Support the review the electrical system designs produced by others
- Perform electrical equipment reviews including individual components, control systems, and system architectures
- Support pre-construction reviews, construction monitoring, and completion reviews from the office and on-site
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
- 0 - 5 years of experience working in electrical design related areas including electrical design of energy projects, and electronic component technology development and analysis
- Demonstrated understanding of current electrical designs including appropriate codes and best practices; grounding methods and construction practices; control systems
- Taken or planning on taking the Electrical Engineering in Training (EIT) exam
Mid-Level Electrical Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Develop conceptual and detailed designs
- Review the electrical system design produced by others
- Perform electrical equipment reviews including individual components, control systems, and system architectures
- Perform pre-construction reviews, construction monitoring, and completion reviews from the office and on-site
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5 - 10 years of experience working in electrical design related areas including electrical design of energy projects, and electronic component technology development and analysis
- Participate in electrical design, electrical field engineering, systems testing and troubleshooting, and proposal support for projects involving multiple engineering disciplines.
- Understanding of interconnection agreements
- Able to mentor more junior team members
- A Professional Engineer (PE) in Electrical Engineering or planning to obtain professional engineer certification
Senior Level Electrical Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Participate in and lead electrical conceptual and detailed designs
- Develop systems testing and troubleshooting plans and provide proposal support for projects involving multiple engineering disciplines.
- Review the electrical system design produced by others
- Perform electrical equipment reviews including individual components, control systems, and system architectures
- Knowledge of interconnection agreements and how to obtain them
- Perform pre-construction reviews, construction monitoring, and completion reviews from the office and on-site
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10-15 years of experience working in electrical design related areas including electrical design of energy projects, and electronic component technology development and analysis
- Knowledge of current electrical designs including appropriate codes and best practices; grounding methods and construction practices; control systems
- Lead proposal efforts for upcoming projects
- A Professional Engineer (PE) in Electrical Engineering
Qualifications to Highlight for all levels of experience
- Experience in leading power systems design
- Experience in leading energy storage applications
- Experience in leading renewables (wind, solar, bio)
- Experience in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) selection, specification, and programming.
Compensation:
Salary commensurate with experience
Salary Range: $30,000 - $125,000 per year
