Ecologist
BS, MS, or PhD degree in applicable field (i.e., environmental science/policy, natural resources planning, biology, ecology or geography, or a closely related discipline).
Types of studies typically required for these projects include avian and/or bat surveys, habitat delineations, specialized studies for federal and state listed threatened and endangered species, and post-construction mortality studies.
Project management experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in working with public and/or commercial clients.
Strong technical leader with established stakeholder relationships.
Excellent interpersonal communication, oral presentation, and verbal and written communication skills.
Strategic thinker and problem-solver.
Strong technical report writer/editor.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Experience with environmental permitting related to wildlife, bats and/or avifauna.

Demonstrated success in regulatory negotiations at the federal and state levels.
Ability to review, synthesize, and interpret biological resources information.
Experience with NEPA-compliant documentation.
Experience with ESA Sections 7 and 10 requirements, developing HCPs and BAs, and USFWS consultation process.
Experience with Clean Water Act (Sections 401 and 404) requirements and permit process, and other state-specific environmental regulations.
Experience with eagle take permitting under Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act, including the development of Eagle Conservation Plans and eagle take permit applications and negotiation of permit conditions.
Demonstrated success in technical scope development, budgeting, and pricing projects.
Project management experience (specifying the client sector, the scale of the project and personal roles).
Examples of commitment to quality management, continuous improvement, and client satisfaction.
Demonstrated success in team leadership, staff mentoring, project management, and client/business development.
