Deputy Chief of Party and GBV/Protection Technical Expert, USAID/Jordan Survivor’s Access to Protection from Domestic Violence (Himaya) Activity, Amman, Jordan

Qualifications:

• Experience managing, supervising, and mentoring diverse teams with different perspectives on the issue of, and solutions to, domestic violence
• Proven record applying multi-sectoral, holistic, people-centered development solutions
• Demonstrated expertise overcoming barriers for marginalized populations to access to justice and other issues impacting survivors of GBV
• In addition to expertise in GBV, technical experience is preferred in one or more of these areas: legal reform, police investigation/training, health systems strengthening, MHPSS, M&E, Trauma Informed Care (TIC) and/or case management
• Experience working in the MENA region, preferably in long-term roles
• Strong report writing skills
• Experience in institutional capacity and change management
• Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Social Work, International Development, or related field is required; advanced degree preferred
• Experience working on USAID and/or State Department-funded projects preferred
• Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care approaches to working with survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV)/intimate partner violence (IPV)/domestic violence (DV) across a broad spectrum of services preferred
• Experience with adaptive management approaches preferred
• English fluency (speaking, reading, and writing) required and Arabic proficiency preferred.
