Civil/Structural Engineer (Mid-level) – Stuart, FL
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
- 8 + years of experience in structural design, analysis, and inspection/assessment for, ports, coastal structures (piers, seawalls, docks, marinas, boat ramps), water control structures, small standalone buildings and shelters (steel and wood buildings and framing), reinforced concrete, structural supports/foundations, craneway and lifting systems, and load rating analysis for seawalls, piers, and small bridges.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Florida. (S. E. preferred).
- Knowledgeable in the design of structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, aluminum, and wood.
- Experience with designing structures located in geographical areas prone to hurricanes is a plus.
- A strong understanding of Florida’s design codes and standards as well as the Federal Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) guidelines, ACI and AISC standards.
- Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Navisworks, and Revit.
- Proficient with structural engineering design software such as RISA 3D, Staad.Pro, MathCAD, LPile, and proficient in Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and excellent oral and written skills for both client and internal team interfaces.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables while working in an independent manner or as part of a team.
- Experience with underwater structural inspections and working with commercial dive teams a plus.
- Must have a valid Florida divers License.
- A Pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
