Chief of Party - Dominican Republic
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in engineering, economics, energy policy, energy law or related field, or Bachelor’s degree with 15 years of relevant work experience.
- At least ten years of progressively responsible work experience managing international development programs related to energy (utilities, markets, modern energy systems) .
- Experience managing high profile and complex energy sector projects.
- Supervisory experience leading long- and short-term staff based in multiple locations.
- Experience working to strengthen regional entities, networks and mechanisms to advance energy sector resilience.
- Ability to establish solid working relationships with high-level/senior national and local government officials, the private sector and civil society.
- A proven record of excellent leadership, strong administrative and organizational skills, strategic thinking and decision-making, and exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, including being a strong writer and articulate speaker.
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Diplomacy skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Fluency in English (reading, writing and presentation skills) is required.
Valued But Not Required Qualifications
- Experience on islands and small/medium energy markets.
- Fluency in French and Spanish.
