Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Ecology, or a related field.
· Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in environmental safeguards compliance and monitoring.
· Prior experience working with the World Bank.
· Demonstrated experience working in Fragility, Conflict, and Violence (FCV) contexts and understanding the unique challenges these settings present.
· Regional experience in one or more World Bank regions (Africa East & West, East Asia and Pacific, Europe & Central Asia, Latin America & Caribbean, Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan, South Asia).
· Proven expertise in reviewing ESMPs and ESCPs, conducting site environmental audits, and monitoring grievance mechanisms.
· Familiarity with World Bank environmental and social safeguard policies and operational procedures.
· Experience advising on environmental risk mitigation and compliance strategies.
· Strong analytical, report writing, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences.
· Fluency in English is required; proficiency in relevant regional languages is an asset.
