Position Summary:

The Senior Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, identifying, screening, and interviewing candidates for employment for positions located in MSI’s Headquarters. This role will work in partnership with MSI's Headquarters hiring managers. The Senior Recruiter will work to source top talent across multiple departments as assigned. The Senior Recruiter will also represent MSI at external events. This position will report to the Vice President of Human Resources. The preferred location for this role is in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide full life cycle recruitment efforts for assigned U.S. based positions, including creating job descriptions, posting positions, sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, conducting references, presenting job offers, and being the point of contact for candidates.
  • Ensure proactive and continual sourcing efforts to maintain a pipeline of qualified talent.
  • Provide guidance to hiring managers on developing a recruitment strategy for assigned positions during the kickoff meeting. 
  • Assist hiring managers with writing and refining job descriptions.
  • Manage candidate activity in MSI’s applicant tracking system, Taleo, and maintain organized recruitment tracker, metrics, and files in share folder system.
  • Serve as an administrator for Taleo.
  • Train and support MSI staff on policies, procedures, and best recruitment practices.
  • Contribute to or initiate ways to strengthen recruitment processes in collaboration with the team.
  • Work in partnership with the Human Resource (HR) team to seamlessly onboard new staff.
  • Identify appropriate outreach opportunities and represent MSI at career fairs, professional conferences, and networking events.
  • Participate in joint outreach ventures, cross collaborating events, and joint recruitment initiatives in partnership with Tetra Tech.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field required.
  • Minimum six years of full life cycle recruitment experience, including recruiting for technical positions for U.S. government clients, such as USAID, Department of State, and Department of Defense required.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, Devex, or other similar databases used for sourcing.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems, such as Taleo Enterprise Edition preferred.
  • Experience in business communication software, such as Microsoft Teams preferred.  
  • Experience representing a company at external industry related events.
  • Understanding of federal regulations that impact recruitment, including Equal Employment Opportunity.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication multi-tasking, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain sensitivity to confidential information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
  • Fluency in English required. Second language skills preferred.

Pay Transparency Statement:

We are committed to taking a thoughtful, compliant, and equitable approach to employment compensation. We commit to providing a holistic comprehensive salary analysis, including reviews of individual skill sets and compensable factors related to qualifications, business needs, internal compensation data, and industry and labor market surveys. The anticipated pay range for this position is $100,000 to $115,000 USD.
