The opportunity

  • Full-time, 12-month contract with the possibility of extension

Australia Awards Philippines

The Australia Awards Philippines (AAP) supports the selection, mobilisation and re-integration of Filipino Australia Award recipients. The investment will also support short courses, fellowships and learning visits, and facilitate ongoing engagement between Australia and Australian-educated Filipino alumni. AAP will strengthen bilateral cooperation by fostering people-to-people and institutional links between Australia and the Philippines.

The role

The Scholarships and Alumni Enrichment Officer supports the delivery of scholarship administration, alumni engagement and participant enrichment activities for Australia Awards Philippines. Working closely with scholars, alumni, institutions and program stakeholders, the role helps deliver a positive participant experience and contributes to activities that strengthen leadership, learning and connections between Australia and the Philippines.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of scholarship activities across the participant lifecycle, from selection through to reintegration.
  • Coordinate participant communications, records, logistics and administrative processes.
  • Assist with the design and delivery of alumni engagement, professional development and enrichment activities.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with scholars, alumni, institutions and other stakeholders.
  • Support the planning and delivery of events, workshops and program activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting, learning, inclusion and compliance activities.

Selection criteria

  • Relevant qualification or equivalent professional experience in education, international development, business administration, communications or a related field.
  • Experience supporting scholarship, education, alumni engagement or program delivery activities.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience maintaining accurate information and documentation.
  • Collaborative, proactive and culturally sensitive, with a commitment to inclusion and high-quality service delivery.
