The Opportunity

  • Part-time position, up to two days per week
  • One year employment agreement
  • Location: Based in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville
  • Reserved for PNG citizens only

Position Overview: The Partnership Coordinator is responsible for stakeholder relationship management; business development; developing new sponsorships with private sector organisations, maintaining current sponsorships with existing partners, and promotion and outreach of AAPNG program activities

This role involves ensuring strong commitment to and compliance with Tetra Tech's values and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the promotion and outreach of AAPNG program activities
  • Develop mutually beneficial relationships and new partnerships with representatives from the public, private and civil sector to foster their engagement with alumni and with the program more broadly
  • Maintain and update the AAPNG stakeholder database
  • Contribute to service agreement deliverables, strategic documents and other reports, including monitoring and evaluation data, as required in an accurate, timely and reliable manner
  • Act as a key source of contextual knowledge on Bougainville to inform strategic engagement approaches and stakeholder management in the region
  • Facilitate regular feedback collection from stakeholders, alumni, and partners in ARoB to inform continuous improvement of engagement strategies
  • Capture and report on success stories or impact case studies from alumni and partners to contribute to program visibility, reporting, and promotion materials
  • Work closely with the Secretariat Coordinator and Governance & Partnerships Adviser to support alumni events and initiatives in Bougainville, contributing to relationship-building and alumni-led development
  • Lead by example and contribute to the development of a program culture that adheres to the Tetra Tech Values and Behaviours
  • Other duties from time to time, as may be reasonably requested by DFAT and Tetra Tech

Selection Criteria:

Essential:

  • Minimum of a diploma qualification in business administration, project management, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder relationship management
  • Demonstrated experience in project management in an international development context
  • Experience working in or with the Autonomous Region of Bougainville (including an understanding of the local socio-political context and cultural sensitivities)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with limited supervision, showing initiative and accountability
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain relationships across diverse sectors and communities
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills using all Microsoft Office 365 applications
