Natural Gas Specialist - Ukraine

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in oil and gas, energy, engineering, or related field 

• At least 5 years of experience in natural and/or clean gases projects, including managerial or team leadership roles 

• High-level understanding of the value chain and issues in the gas sector of Ukraine as well as natural and clean gases infrastructure 

• Demonstrable expertise in the principles of project economics, project lifecycle methodologies, and standard project deliverables 

• Proven track record leading digitalization, modernization, optimization, or systems implementation projects within the natural gas sector 

• Able to coordinate and prioritize work to meet competing deadlines while adhering to Tetra Tech’s governance standards and procedures 

• Excellent writing and communication skills 

• Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities, adept at building trust and productive working relationships 

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; skilled in producing clear, concise, accurate, and timely documentation and reports 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 

• Fluent in English and Ukrainian 

Preferred but Not Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in oil and gas, energy, engineering, or related field 

• Knowledge of key systems and software specific to gas sector business processes and infrastructure operations (such as SCADA,  gas network simulation tools, dispatching and balancing platforms, or asset management systems) 

• Experience working on similar projects or other donor-funded projects (e.g., World Bank, EBRD, EU, USAID) 

• Project management skills 

Line Management Responsibility:  N/A 

Physical Demands and Work Environment: This position will require regular attendance at the office in Kyiv and may entail occasional travel within Ukraine for interaction with local stakeholders.
