The Opportunity
Based in Jakarta, Indonesia, you will be working with a dynamic team from across Southeast Asian Countries. You will hold overall responsibility for the management and quality assurance of RT4D’s MEL system.
• Full-time.
• Fixed term contract with possibility of extension.
• This role reserved for Indonesian nationals.
• No support is provided for relocation to Jakarta
About the Program: Regional Trade for Development (RT4D)
Funded by the Governments of Australia and New Zealand, Regional Trade for Development (RT4D) supports ASEAN economies to meet their commitments and realise the full benefits of the Agreement establishing the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Area (AANZFTA) and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Agreement, through delivering high quality, demand-driven projects.
Comprising the AANZFTA Implementation Support Program (AISP) and the RCEP Implementation Support Program (RISP), RT4D manages Australia’s AUD 46 million and New Zealand’s NZD 1.6 million commitments to this initiative until 2028.
The Facility has a multi-country presence comprising of:
• A head office located in Jakarta, co-located with the ASEAN Secretariat, and
• Satellite presences in Hanoi, Phnom Penh and Vientiane.
RT4D also includes an AUD5 million Trade and Gender Equality Incubator (TGEI).
About You
You are an experienced professional in the international development sector. With track record in
• establishing, implementing and improving MEL systems for large and complex international development programs
• developing research, survey design, data collection methods, and conducting advanced quantitative and qualitative data analysis for international development programs
• using quantitative evaluation and research methodologies, including small-scale surveys (knowledge of statistical methods would be highly regarded).
• integrating GEDSI (including DFAT’s GEDSI expectations) into MEL tools and systems, activity designs, learning workshops, data analysis, and reporting.
You Will Possess
• Minimum 5 years of proven MEL management experience for a donor-funded development program (preferably in the areas of economic growth, trade, or private sector development).
• Understanding of DFAT MEL standards and data privacy requirements.
• Capability to produce coherent, succinct and useful reports to meet DFAT quality reporting requirements.
• Training and facilitation skills, including ensuring that learning events are engaging and dynamic, and achieve desired outcomes.
• Demonstrated success working in a cross-cultural, multi-lingual and hybrid (combined virtual and physical) environment
• Prior experience in the Southeast Asia region is desirable.
• Familiarity with ASEAN is desirable.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
